About Scott Ultimate Warm Jacket for Women
The Scott Jacket W's Ultimate Warm is developed for skiers who want to stay warm even on the coldest winter days. With generous DUROloft ECO insulation, a waterproof DRYOsphere 2L membrane, and practical ski features, it is designed for long days where comfort is the focus.
The jacket uses SCOTT's DRYOsphere 2L membrane, which effectively protects against snow, wind, and moisture. At the same time, the material wicks away excess heat when your activity level increases. With a 10,000 mm water column and breathability of 10,000 g/m²/24h, you get weather protection that works excellently in typical winter conditions.
Furthermore, the Ultimate Warm Jacket is equipped with DUROloft ECO insulation and Strategic Thermal Regulation. This combination helps the body maintain an even temperature, both when you are skiing actively and when you are sitting on the chairlift between runs. Despite the high level of warmth, the jacket feels flexible and comfortable, allowing you to move freely.
To further increase comfort, the jacket features ventilation zippers under the arms. This allows you to quickly release excess heat when the sun comes out or when the pace picks up. At the same time, the adjustable hood, hem, and cuffs contribute to a personalized fit, while the snow skirt and internal cuffs with thumbholes effectively keep cold and snow on the outside.
Storage is also well-considered. The jacket has two zippered hand pockets, a lift pass pocket on the sleeve, and an internal goggle pocket with a detachable cleaning cloth. There is also an internal zippered security pocket where you can safely store your mobile phone, wallet, or other valuables.
The Scott Ultimate Warm Jacket is suitable for those who prioritize warmth, comfort, and function during cold ski days and want a jacket that performs from the first run to the last. For a few tips along the way when buying a ski jacket, please read our buying guide.

FAQ
Is the Scott Ultimate Warm Jacket a warm ski jacket?
Yes. The jacket is equipped with DUROloft ECO insulation, which provides high thermal insulation and is particularly suitable for cold winter days.
How well does the jacket protect against snow and rain?
The DRYOsphere 2L membrane has a 10,000 mm water column and provides reliable protection against snow, wind, and moisture.
Does the jacket get too warm when activity levels increase?
No. Thanks to ventilation zippers under the arms, you can easily regulate the temperature and release excess heat when needed.
Does the jacket have room for ski goggles?
Yes. The internal goggle pocket has plenty of room for your ski goggles and also includes a detachable cleaning cloth for lens maintenance.
What type of skiing is the jacket suitable for?
The Ultimate Warm Jacket is primarily developed for resort skiing and all-mountain use where high comfort, warmth, and weather protection are prioritized throughout the ski day.
Size & fit
Measure your chest at its widest point and compare with the size chart in the size guide. If you are between two sizes, go for the smaller one if you want a snugger fit, or the larger one if you want room for more layers underneath. Not sure? Give us a call and we will help you.
Care
Wash at 30° with a liquid detergent for technical garments — never use fabric softener or bleach. Tumble dry on low heat or iron at a low temperature to reactivate the water-repellent treatment. Reproof when water stops beading on the surface, usually after 15–20 washes.
Shipping & returns

Choosing a shell jacket
Waterproofing and breathability
Waterproofing is measured in millimetres (hydrostatic head) and describes how much water pressure the fabric can withstand before it leaks. 10,000 mm handles normal precipitation, while 20,000 mm handles wet snow and rain all day long — even where you sit and press against the fabric on the chairlift. Breathability is measured in grams of moisture per square metre per 24 hours and determines how much sweat is transported out. You want high numbers for both; a waterproof fabric without breathability will just make you wet from the inside instead.
The layering principle
The shell is the outer layer and is not meant to be warm in itself. The warmth comes from the mid-layer — merino wool or fleece — and closest to the skin is a thin layer that moves moisture away from your body. The advantage of a pure shell over a padded jacket is that you can regulate your warmth to suit the weather and your pace, instead of being locked into one level of insulation. That is why the shell is cut with room for a mid-layer, and why it can feel roomy when you try it on without one.
The details that make the difference
A powder skirt at the waist keeps snow out when you fall. Underarm vents are the quickest way to regulate your temperature without taking anything off. The hood should be adjustable with one hand and fit over a helmet without blocking your view. Taped seams are essential, because a waterproof fabric will leak through the seams if they are not sealed. The pockets should be placed so they work with a hip belt on and a lift pass in the sleeve.
Size and fit
The jacket is cut with room for insulation. If you are between two sizes and ski without a thick mid-layer, go for the smaller one. If you want room for a thicker sweater, or do a lot of ski touring where you need freedom of movement, go for the larger one. The sleeves should reach past your wrists when you stretch your arms forward.
How to keep your jacket waterproof
A shell rarely stops being waterproof — it stops repelling water on the surface. When the fabric turns dark and heavy with moisture, it is the outer water-repellent treatment that has worn off, not the membrane. Wash the jacket with a detergent made for shell garments, tumble dry it on low heat or iron it with a cloth in between to reactivate the treatment, and reproof when needed. A jacket that is looked after stays waterproof season after season.
