About Scott Women's Ultimate GTX Jacket
The Scott Jacket W's Ultimate GTX is a warm and weather-protective ski jacket developed for female skiers who want to enjoy long days on the mountain, regardless of the weather. Combining GORE-TEX®, warming insulation, and practical features, this jacket keeps you dry, warm, and comfortable from your first run to your last.
The waterproof GORE-TEX® 2L membrane provides effective protection against snow, rain, and wind while remaining breathable as your activity level increases. With a 28,000 mm water column and 9 RET breathability, you get reliable protection even in truly demanding winter conditions.
To ensure a comfortable temperature all day, the jacket is insulated with DUROloft ECO. The insulation is strategically placed to provide warmth where it is needed most, while keeping the jacket feeling flexible and offering great freedom of movement. When you need to cool down, the underarm ventilation zippers help release excess heat quickly.
The Ultimate GTX Women's also features an integrated RECCO® reflector, which can assist professional rescue teams during a search operation. The adjustable hood, hem, and cuffs make it easy to customize the fit to suit weather and layers, while the powder skirt and internal cuffs with thumbholes help keep snow and cold out.
The jacket also offers plenty of smart storage. Two hand pockets, a chest pocket, and a ski pass pocket on the sleeve provide quick access to your essentials. Inside, there is also a goggle pocket with a detachable cleaning cloth as well as a zippered security pocket for your phone or other valuables.
Scott Ultimate GTX Women's is perfect for those looking for a warm and technical ski jacket with a women-specific fit, high comfort, and reliable weather protection in any conditions. Having trouble choosing a jacket? Check out our buying guide.

Size & fit
Measure your chest at its widest point and compare with the size chart in the size guide. If you are between two sizes, go for the smaller one if you want a snugger fit, or the larger one if you want room for more layers underneath. Not sure? Give us a call and we will help you.
Care
Wash at 30° with a liquid detergent for technical garments — never use fabric softener or bleach. Tumble dry on low heat or iron at a low temperature to reactivate the water-repellent treatment. Reproof when water stops beading on the surface, usually after 15–20 washes.
Shipping & returns
Delivery time 2–5 business days to Germany, shipped from our warehouse in Hestra, Sweden. Call +46 370 33 97 70 if you are unsure about the size before you order.

Choosing a shell jacket
Waterproofing and breathability
Waterproofing is measured in millimetres (hydrostatic head) and describes how much water pressure the fabric can withstand before it leaks. 10,000 mm handles normal precipitation, while 20,000 mm handles wet snow and rain all day long — even where you sit and press against the fabric on the chairlift. Breathability is measured in grams of moisture per square metre per 24 hours and determines how much sweat is transported out. You want high numbers for both; a waterproof fabric without breathability will just make you wet from the inside instead.
The layering principle
The shell is the outer layer and is not meant to be warm in itself. The warmth comes from the mid-layer — merino wool or fleece — and closest to the skin is a thin layer that moves moisture away from your body. The advantage of a pure shell over a padded jacket is that you can regulate your warmth to suit the weather and your pace, instead of being locked into one level of insulation. That is why the shell is cut with room for a mid-layer, and why it can feel roomy when you try it on without one.
The details that make the difference
A powder skirt at the waist keeps snow out when you fall. Underarm vents are the quickest way to regulate your temperature without taking anything off. The hood should be adjustable with one hand and fit over a helmet without blocking your view. Taped seams are essential, because a waterproof fabric will leak through the seams if they are not sealed. The pockets should be placed so they work with a hip belt on and a lift pass in the sleeve.
Size and fit
The jacket is cut with room for insulation. If you are between two sizes and ski without a thick mid-layer, go for the smaller one. If you want room for a thicker sweater, or do a lot of ski touring where you need freedom of movement, go for the larger one. The sleeves should reach past your wrists when you stretch your arms forward.
How to keep your jacket waterproof
A shell rarely stops being waterproof — it stops repelling water on the surface. When the fabric turns dark and heavy with moisture, it is the outer water-repellent treatment that has worn off, not the membrane. Wash the jacket with a detergent made for shell garments, tumble dry it on low heat or iron it with a cloth in between to reactivate the treatment, and reproof when needed. A jacket that is looked after stays waterproof season after season.
