Choose the right brake width
The brake width must be as wide as, or wider than, the waist width of the ski. The waist width is usually part of the ski name, or you can find it under specifications as sidecut. It is the middle value — for example ”Sidecut: 133-110-124”, where 110 is the waist width of the ski. If you are unsure or pick the wrong brake width, we always check this before we ship the ski and correct it if needed.
All measurements indicate head circumference in centimeters. Several models share the same size range.
Here you can see the head circumference for each size. Since several Scott models are based on the same shell size, they are grouped together in the table below.
| Model | S | M | L |
|---|---|---|---|
| Couloir Mountain, Couloir Tour, Blend Plus, Blend Plus LS, Symbol 2, Symbol 2 Plus D, Chase 2, Chase 2 Plus, Track, Track Plus (cm) | 51–55 | 55–59 | 59–61 |
| Keeper 2, Keeper 2 Plus (cm) | 51–54 | 53–56 | – |
Tip: If you are right between two sizes, choose the larger one if you plan to wear a beanie or balaclava under your ski helmet.
