Tecnica Decoy Pro GW is a freetouring boot for advanced and expert skiers who want maximum downhill performance without compromising on the ability to hike uphill. With a 130 flex, a 99 mm last, and an advanced construction, it is developed for steep terrain and demanding conditions.
The medium-width last provides a precise, wrap-around fit that ensures direct contact with the ski. At the same time, the glass-fiber-reinforced Grilamid® cuff contributes to high torsional stiffness and efficient power transmission, providing confident control even when speeds increase and snow conditions become challenging.
Despite its clear focus on downhill skiing, the Decoy Pro GW performs very well on the ascent. Thanks to the T-Hike mechanism and a 65-degree range of motion, you get a natural stride and good mobility on backcountry tours. Additionally, the Quick Instep makes it easier to put on and take off the boot, even on cold days.
Inside, the boot is equipped with Tecnica's Full C.A.S. liner with a Floating Tongue. It can be shaped to the foot for a more personalized fit, while providing stable heel hold and high comfort during long days.
Four micro-adjustable aluminum buckles together with a Performance Elastic Power Lock Strap keep the foot securely in place and provide consistent power transmission throughout the turn. The Vibram® GripWalk® sole with integrated tech inserts also provides secure grip when walking and broad compatibility with both GripWalk and tech bindings.
In short, the Tecnica Decoy Pro GW is an excellent choice for those who want an uncompromising freetouring boot with the highest possible downhill performance and an efficient walk mode for backcountry tours.
