The POC Arcus Mips is a ski helmet developed for skiers who want to combine the precise feel of a race helmet with the freedom of a modern freeride helmet. The design is engineered for high speed, technical riding, and long days on the mountain, focusing on low weight, efficient ventilation, and high safety.
The helmet features a hybrid construction with a robust ABS shell around the lower part and a lightweight polycarbonate In-Mold shell over the top. This combination provides a great balance of durability, low weight, and comfort. Furthermore, the helmet has extended coverage over the neck area, inspired by hockey helmets, for increased protection where it is needed most.
To provide an even and comfortable fit, the Arcus Mips is equipped with the BOA® Fit System. The system wraps around the head more evenly than traditional adjustment systems and reduces pressure points, making the helmet comfortable even during long ski days.
Inside is the Mips® Air Node – the lightest and most advanced version of Mips® to date. The system helps reduce rotational forces during angled impacts.
The ventilation is adapted for both intensive alpine touring and fast downhill runs. Air channels at the front, sides, and back work together with two large ventilation openings on the top for effective airflow.
With the magnetic three-step adjustment, you can also easily customize the ventilation even while wearing gloves. Goggle Chimneys simultaneously lead warm air away from the goggles and help reduce the risk of fogging.
Removable ear pads make the helmet usable in various temperatures, and the integrated goggle clip keeps your goggles securely in place. The chin buckle with Fidlock HOOK 20 can be easily opened and closed with one hand, even while wearing gloves.
